The Car Boot Sale

I missed the first community Car Boot Sale last month, and the second one is on tomorrow.  I confess I have never been to one, so don’t know what to expect.

I have gathered some “goodies” that might sell – and hope to make a few dollars tomorrow.

I have a framed picture, a great leather handbag which has not been used, some books (recipe books mainly), and other small items and one of my Dancing Lady orchids in a pot.

What if I make $40?   I could hope for more, but I doubt that will happen.  It will help pay for my shopping today.  I went to Coles – hoping to put around $100 worth of items in my trolley – but it turned out to be $160!!!  Gulp!!!

Markets and things are not what I do – I like to stay home and write, so I don’t do what a lot of my friends do.    Perhaps I will enjoy it and get ready for next months one.

More of the Car Boot Sale

I had never been to a car boot sale before, but in reality they are just like a “market” though most of the stuff is emptied from the car boot.  Some folk did come with marquees, but I just had my stuff laid out on a sheet of plastic.  I sold a few things and made a profit, so I was happy with it all.

The toys above were a great hit – I think every time I child passed, he/she wanted to buy a toy.  I think they were second hand, but in good nick.

There were artists, with  a range of items for sale and more.  Next one is on the first Sunday of November.  I wonder what I can sell?
