FAB Exhibition

I had intended to leave for my adventure last weekend, but a group that I am part of was given a grant to run an Art Show.  As I write this, we have completed two of our four days of the Exhibition.  So far we are very impressed with ourselves.  We had plenty of entries, and the display was put together in a most professional manner, and the Opening and Awarding of Prizes was a great success with 100 people in attendance.

At times I did waver, thinking that I should just go and not concern myself with the event, but I am so glad I stayed.  As it turns out I have a former student from China staying with me for this coming weekend, and friends I hope to visit in Victoria, are overseas at the moment, so I would have missed them if I had gone on my original date.

I am exhausted, my house is a mess, and I still have so much to do in preparation for my adventure, but there is hope that I will be able to get away on time.

Some of the Yarnbombing

And there was more……………….

I managed to do some yarnbombing too – and hope that next year we can do more.  It was rather fun, but I was disappointed that I didn’t get more done.

We are amazed that we did the event with only 6 weeks notice – many thanks to our team at BANG – Beachmere Area Network Group.  What can we do if we have more time to plan it?

With two more days to go of the exhibition and the unpacking of it, we still have plenty of work to do.  So, perhaps I will manage to get away by August 15th.  We will see.  That is the latest plan!  Bring it on – I am looking forward to it.
