Bamboo clothing is fantastic and I see more about. Last week at the Bribie Island Markets I found a stall that has a range of bamboo products/clothing, but not much that appealed to me. I don’t like polo shirts very much, and it was geared more to men’s wear.
Target stores used to stock some underwear, but I can’t find it in their stores, however BigW still stock my favourite pieces.
However today I found a new store with some beautiful women’s clothing, It is called Bamboo Body and I am negotiating to buy a skirt and top, but the top is out of stock. I am trying to see when or if they will be able to supply it.
There is a lot of information about the value of bamboo fabric – and well worth reading here.
“Bamboo Body has been offering an extensive range of bamboo clothing in Australia for 10 years. When we first felt bamboo fabric we fell in love and the love affair is still going strong. Bamboo is a versatile fibre that offers an impressive list of advantages.
To begin with, it is incredibly soft and comfortable to wear. In fact many Bamboo Body customers report that once they wear bamboo clothes they don’t want to wear anything else! Many people with skin sensitivities such as eczema and psoriasis have reported that bamboo clothing does not irritate their skin like most other fabrics do.
Studies have shown that bamboo clothing is more breathable than cotton, and has moisture wicking and antibacterial properties. Many customers who wear our bamboo socks have claimed that they can wear the socks for days on end and they still feel soft and comfortable. Similarly, our bamboo underwear is very popular for its comfort and breathability.” from Bamboo Body website.
